This glacier wedding ceremony took place on an amazingly warm blue sky spring day. 6 of us flew via helicopter, to Meade Glacier. Vows were exchanged, and Shannon McGuire of Chugach Peaks Photography caught this darling dip n kiss photo.
Beautiful bride, Leigh Anna, a hiker from Washington State, loved exploring the glacier, wearing the provided studded black boots that kept her from slipping on glacial ice. What a unique and special wedding venue!
After the return helicopter ride, the wedding party of four, with Kate, Shannon and me, hiked to the Secret Rock Spot. This private location lends itself well, for small groups such as this one.
A small table stood atop the rock, decorated with a raspberry filled chocolate cake and bottle of champagne. Cake cutting, a champagne toast and many photos were taken by Shannon.
After hiking back to the waiting van, there was time for a downtown Skagway photo shoot. 1898 gold rush era buildings made for a nice back drop for one more shared dip n kiss.
